Hi.

I've never played rugby before but want to learn before I start university in October. So I've got about 6 months.

Is that enough time to become a competent player? If so, how would I go about learning it?

Thanks...

  1. You can get the basics in a couple of days.

Find your local club and go to practice is my best advice.

  2. yes it is possible it takes a year to be a good player and play without thinking of the rules but if you already know the rules its as easy as abc exept for the physical side of it you will have to work out to get ready and get used to tackeling

  3. The basics will take a couple of games watching and a then playing.

The finesse you will still be learning when you retire.

  4. yes

  5. learn the basics and get used to the feeling of the ball. go to your local club and train with them to help you improve or ask a friend to help you. i think with hard work you will be able to compete with sum of the players

  6. If you mean rugby league, sure you have a chance. I suggest you start as a winger and gradually work into harder positions but rugby union has alot more rules and is alot harder to get your head around but if you read up on your rules you will be fine!!!

If you need any help pm me!!!

    Cheers
