Can I leave my satellite receiver always on? Should I turn it off after I use? Or it goes to standby?

You should leave it on because it was made to be on for long periods of time (and if it starts a fire that is a s**y law suit), and turning it off will make it reset. Umm I have IO and mine goes on Standby and i know Directv does as well, just touch it once and a while if its hot and you are not using it turn it off unplug it. note pressing the power button doesn't turn it off

I have left mine on for the last three years. Only time it get shut down is if the electric goes off.
