Can I leave the US with a foreign expired passport? no time to renew it must leave tomorrow

I leave tomorrow (sunday), and just realized it has expired, no time to renew it they don't work on sunday.. if they allow me to leave the US I will renew it in my country..

My mom told me that she has a friend without a passport that lies that its an emergency cause a family member passed away or something like that. But my mom told me about this lady a couple years ago so i don't know if you can still use this excuse or not.

I suspect you won't be allowed to leave.  Although you might get through Immigration, it's illegal for airlines to carry passengers without a legal passport.  Not only that, you might have trouble staying in the US with an expired passport.  I suggest you call your Embassy quickly and explain the situation.

You can leave as long as the airline knows you will be able to enter your country when you get there.
