  1. yes

  2. If she can manage it. Oranges have membrane around the segments which doesn't break down the same way that, say, the outside of a piece of apple does. She may end up with a fibrous lump in her mouth which she could choke on.

  3. i do not see why she can't eat them. when she does just keep an eye to her and make sure she is ok but i am sure it will not do her any harm

  4. I would not give her this because oranges can be a lil stringy and would get caught in the throat. She probably doesnt have many teeth if any at all and wouldnt be able to chew it that well. Id rather be safe then sorry with my child and would not give them anything like this.

  5. No, it may be too strong for her. Just think why did the doctor tell you to "water" the orange juice?

  6. Hey there,

Some oranges contain seeds in them, so make sure you don't purchase those types. But yeah, I think it's pretty safe to give your child oranges if she can chew them.

  7. If you supreme the oranges (cut away the peel and white pith and the membrane that seperates each segment-just leaving the fruit).  I would not give a small child much citrus though, the acid can cause diaper rash and eating too much is hard on their teeth.

  8. sure, what you can do is cut one orange in small pieces and let her eat them.

  9. me personally i wouldn't not until maybe she is about a yr and a half or so, but if you are not sure i would ask your dr.

  10. if she doesn't choke do it

  11. my girlfriend is a mother of four. she says 10 month olds don't have teeth.

    so no.

  12. Does she have teeth or is she used to eating lumpier food?  If you decide to give it to her I would cut it up very small & don't leave her side for a second, just in case she does happen to choke on it.

  13. I wouldn't only because of the acid in them.  There is plenty of time for oranges and other stuff she has not tried yet.

  14. yes she will be fine~

  15. Don't do it, too much acid to hard on the stomach.  Baby probably would not like the texture of it anyway.  You eat the oranges and get that extra vitamin c for energy for yourself.

  16. yes she is old enough now to eat oranges

  17. Yes absolutely. It's totally fine for a 10 month old to eat oranges by herself.

  18. Maybe!  Try a little and wait a day or two, the same as introducing any new food to little ones.  My own daughter (14 months) can't eat ANY citrus fruits yet as they give her a horrible (slightly bloody even!) diaper rash.  Dr Sears (askdrsears.com) lists citrus fruits as one of the most allergenic foods:

    Most-Allergenic Foods

    berries

    buckwheat

    chocolate

    cinnamon

    citrus fruits

    coconut

    corn

    dairy products

    egg whites

    mustard

    nuts

    peas

    peanut butter

    pork

    shellfish

    soy

    sugar

    tomatoes

    wheat

    yeast
