Question:

Can I link 2 6ft optical cables (toslink) together to make a 12 ft cable?

is it similar to extension cords, or do I need an adapter, or is it just not possible?

  1. Yes it's possible but you can get them 12ft long too just buy some because where living in the future optical cable is the future that's why the have fios from Verizon I even use this technology in my music recordings works wonders never go back to analog RCA...


  2. I'm sure they make an adapter somewhere, though I haven't seen one.  You can also get a splitter (what I use) so three optical cables outs go to the splitter and one out the splitter to an input.  You just switch between components as needed.
