  1. That is a bad idea. Electrical panels must be located outside the house so that the electric company can read your electric meter without your presence. Also it is a very bad idea to put electrical panel where water and humidity is involved.

  2. Codes are made to keep you safe.It would be against code to place the breaker box in the bathroom.plus not only you could get fried by touching it it will fail due to the moist damp air that is in a bathroom.look around for a better location.maybe a closet?

  3. Only if it's decorative, not functional or operational.  Code and safety requirements dictate that GFI's(ground fault interrupter) be installed in bathrooms.  These are safety outlets.  If you wanted to install an electrical panel in your bathroom, it would have to be completely waterproof, and keep in mind, it would never pass inspection, even if it was.

  4. No you can not. If you have any questions about what you can and can't do, the best thing to do is call your local Electrical Inspector and ask him or her since they have the final say on code compliance in your area.

  5. You could do it, but it would not meet code requirements. Bathrooms are at times the most humid areas of your home. This would affect the panel and components by possibly causing rust and premature failure of breakers and other components. Not to mention the adverse safety issues( shock risks)  locating it there brings up.

  6. Oh sure.  A good place would be right under the shower head..
