I need to send 1 small bottle of Aspirin over the border from Canada to the US.

Is it true that Aspirin is a prescription only in the states? Will this cause me trouble?

  1. Aspirin doesn't require a prescription. However Codeine does. Codeine is an opiate (same family as heroin and Oxycontin) and is highly addictive.

If you declare it as aspirin with Codeine it will be confiscated by customs, if you "sneak it" in and your friend is caught with it, he/she could get in trouble for possession of a controlled substance.

  2. no  you can not send medication that requires a prescription in the US,it is illegal and you could get in to trouble

  3. Aspirin is not regulated, but why would you want to?  Postage would cost more than a bottle of aspirin.

  4. No, aspirin is not a prescription med in the U.S. It can be purchased very cheaply at any pharmacy or variety store without a prescription.  There is no need to mail a bottle to the U.S.
