Can I make a batman and joker figurine and sell them publically? Are there any copy right problem?

I know a figurine master and we were talking about making a cutter and batter figurine for batman and joke and sell them.

are there any copy right problem I should worry about?

Where can I go and find answers?

i'm sure batman has a copywrite.  why not create youre own unique figurine?

If they are for personal use, copyright law would not apply. When you choose to make them for sale, the copyright holder can demand payment for the likeness or use of copyrighted material without a license.
