I am just wondering what to do as my teenager is a nightmare for me and I haven't got the money for a mortgage, to buy somewhere - how do I get a better lifestyle, I am a single parent and as well as the teen I have an 8 year old. I rent a council house and have no ties, my family are non existant?

  1. Any where outside the UK should give you a better quality of life, may be not wealthier but that is all relative...

    Good luck

  2. Sure, I did. I started in another country and built a life for myself. It was hard at first, but I wanted a fresh start, so I devoted myself to making it.

  3. Hello,

(ANS) To begin with I think being a single parent must be extremely difficult, so my heart goes out to you. It must be such a tough struggle for you. Having to care for one child would be enough but two even more so.

**I know life here in this country isn't easy for someone in your position but I would ask you to think very carefully before you rush into making any choices about leaving the UK, especially as a woman. And as a woman with children to support. It would be far to easy to jump from the frying pan into the fire. From a tough but manageable situation into a sheer dangerous one.

**Tough as this country might seem, tough as the situation might be. You might easily find yourself FAR far worse off else where in the world. In counties & cultures that are less kind or considerate of a person in your situation.

**Before you make any definite decision you should think about what job or skills you have. If you have a definite profession or skill & any qualifications. It might be worth trying to find out if those skills or profession are in high demand else where in the UK and in other counties.

In other words DON'T make up your mind to leave the UK before you have done a good deal of personal research into another country & what that country could offer to you.

**Try NOT to focus so much on the negative things things in your situation, because there must also be some positives too. For example:- because you only rent your council house that means you could move quite quickly if you did find a new job else where in the UK or over seas. Having no social or family ties leaves you much freer to move where & when you want to. Obviously finance is going to be a BIG consideration in any move you might make and that should be taken into account BEFORE you move any where.

Hope my comments might be useful?

Kind Regards to you, best wishes for a happy 2008 from Ivan

  4. You should probably research it a lot but there is no reason why making a fresh start will not help.

A clean slate might significantly improve things.

  5. Do it.  If you dont you will never forgive yourself

  6. Only if you know that what you wish to achieve is what  you can't while you're where you are.

You must formulate a plan-otherwise it's just running away from your problems.

All said, it's best to have your financial problems sorted out before you consider immigrating.

  7. it depends upon the place u want to enter, try to b sure that the place is very easy to get employed , the basic needs are very affordable, plus there are many other financial resources available.

  8. I think you should look first at the benifits to liveing in england wefare state nhs  and council housing to name some  you will find the lack of money the bigest problem, and you have to concider your eight year old.  Imigration is not an easy answer and you will find lots of bariers to overcome before any country will let you immigrate good luck

  9. Throw your son out if need, make him emmigrate and you stay. Don,t let spoiled kids ruin your life!!!

  10. do your own thing

  11. You'd be better advised to emigrate.  t*t!

  12. Where will you go??

  13. try to finish your degree.................ones you finish you will back and say how i made it.....????

take it easy ....live your life and days  wether it is good or hard............both will pass any way  , moreover if you afford to travel do so ,it sure will help at least change atmosphere.

  14. If you have a plan and a goal then you might be able to fulfil those better in another country.  The cost of living is high in the UK but the health and education systems are pretty good.  I would decide where you may want to live and look as to viable ways of living there and what career you would pursue while over there.

    Good luck!

  15. yeah, go to poland

  16. i moved to sweden - best move i ever made.  the health service is second to none, equality across the board and the people are among the friendliest i`ve ever met.

  17. It's called emigrating not immigrating. >sigh<.  And if you do not have the money for a mortgage, I doubt you'll have the money to emigrate.  The legal fees alone amount to the same as a deposit on a house, not to mention the cost of international removal companies etc.  But if you want to try it - go for it.  Let another country pay your income support.

  18. ever heard of the phrase - "The grass is always greener on the other side" ?
