Please help, or suggest another ingredient.

I'm a poor student so don't have anything fancy like jabba beads.

I've got moisturizer and all that stuff, just not any special oils or minerals!

Thanks

  1. you can make an exfoliator by mixing a few teaspoons of olive oil with 2 teaspoons of sea salt. use it on your body before showering. don`t use it on your face as the salt may cause micro scratches to your skin which could result into pimples and infections. the skin on your body has a different pH and isn`t as delicate as your facial skin.

another inexpensive option would be peeling gloves, you can buy them in beauty shops or drug stores.they cost around $2-3 and can be used for weeks. just make sure you rinse them well after use and let them dry so that no bacteria can develop. choose a soft one for your face, put a peasize of cleanser on them and gently massage your face (of course you can use them for your body as well). if you touch you face after using them it will feel much softer.follow with a moisturizer of your choice.

  2. I think salt is a little too drying. Try using sugar instead.

You can just use it plain or mix with a little olive oil- try 1 or 1.5 cups sugar and a tablespoon of oil, mix that up and add more oil till its all a bit wet then use right away before the sugar dissolves. Put it on in the shower when your skin is wet.

I tried it with some smashed avocado once and it worked really well also but was kind of messy:)

You can also try mixing in a bit of lemon juice with the olive oil but it can be a little harsh/drying for some people.

  3. I've heard of mixing raw sugar with oil or a moisturizer and using it as a body scrub. Doesn't have to be fancy oils - olive oil would be fine. Use it before shaving - if you use it after, it will irritate your skin. Don't use that on your face, though, as it would be too harsh. Another thing you can use is raw oats. That is gentle enough for the face but would also work for body. Take a small handful of oats and run it under the faucet until they are wet, then massage into your skin.

  4. You should use oil (any kind) and sugar.. if you use salt it might burn if you have any cuts
