Can I make a triops tank out of acrylic (pvc)?

  1. It really wouldn't be ideal.

    The acrylic PVC might release chemicals into the water and the triops will never hatch.

    The sunlight also wouldn't get in easily. It would have to be clear.


  2. Acrylic, yes, Acrylic is used in all large aquariums.  Acrylic is best for this application, its clear, as good light transmission, can be formed into curves for tunnels etc. Its also non toxic. Acrylic is used in bone cements / acrylic fillings etc.

    PVC, No.
