I know I'm missing a couple things, but I'm pretty sure I have most of what I need for a basic ambrosia salad. Anything more that I need, I'll be picking up at the store shortly. What I've got -
Canned mandarin oranges
Canned pineapple chunks
Fruit cocktail
Whipped cream
I know that I still need -
Shredded coconut
Small marshmallows
Can it be made with these items? Also, I have fresh fruits I'd like to use, but I'm not sure if they'd be any good. I have strawberries and grapes I thought about trying...and I also have apples and bananas but I fear they will brown to quickly. One other question...How long is appropriate to let it chill in the refrigerator before serving?
