  1. first of all if you are going through a crisis there is no way in the world are you gonna make it in 250 in the world .... that's because you need to pay for your rackets , stringing , travel , coach , and other house expenses or stays at different hotels ... and if you want to be around 300 you have to travel not only in states but to different countries . and you have to pay to get in the tournaments . if you are not playing challengers or the satellite tour and you are 30 , basically there is no way you are gonna get your ranking up to 250 in a year ... so when you get your ranking high enough you'll grow old around 32 or 33 .....this is just part of the story there are other things to consider ....... I will say that you are thinking something that financially is too much for you right now since you are going through a crisis and its gonna take some experience to just start playing pro tournaments and you are growing old ... to let you know ppl in top 300 are barely making a living for themselves because there are too much expenses

  2. heh.

  3. To be brutally honest, it is extremely unlikely that you could turn pro and earn money.  The sport of tennis probably has the biggest gap between professional players and recreational players.  The players that are in the top 250 have been playing as often or more often than you since they were 2 years old.  And even if you started that early, your age would probably keep you from breaking through.  There are  few players left in the top 250 that are 30 or older, and none of them broke the top 250 that late in thier careers.  Most of them turned pro when they were teenagers.  I can't think of any player that broke the top 250 after 23.  5 hours a day is a lot, but do you play in tournaments? Do you win almost all of them?  Do you have a USTA rating because if it is any lower than 6.0, you don't have a shot.  I'm sorry to shoot down your dreams, but tennis is much harder to turn pro in than you think.

  4. continue on dreaming... sometimes, dream comes true... even in your daydreams only...

  5. By no means am I a dream squasher, but you'd have to play in satellite/challenegr tournaments now as you're not ranked, so you could not play on the USTA tournament schedule. And unfortunately, these tournaments are typically not in major cities and few are in the US, so you'd have to have an infinite amount of cash flow to support the travel required to gain the necessary points to get off the challeneger tour and onto the big show, which for most people is VERY tough if not impossible.

BUT, with that being said.....stranger things have happened and it's great to hear how devoted you are to your training. This is certainly good to your physical health and I'm sure this has carried over to other aspects of your life.I wish you the best of luck and I hope if you have the desire to become a professional, that some luck helps carry you there.
