I am making a lasagna for tomorrow night and have the "no boil" noodles for it. Is it okay to make it tonight so it's all prepared for tomorrow?

We'd have it tonight but we just had spaghetti 2 nights in a row.

  1. I always think it taste better after its baked and sits awhile.

  2. absolutely, it will be better made ahead

  3. You bet! We do it at work all the time!

  4. Yes you can.  You can make it and keep it covered and refrigerated until the next day or you can half bake it and then continue the next day.   Whenever you bake it be sure to keep the to LOOSELY covered with fol so your lasagna stays moist and the top cheese doesn't burn and the top noodles don't get hard and crunchy on the sides.

  5. No plablem, go for it

  6. Lasagna is only at its best when made in advance.  The ingredients need time to blend together.  Seal tightly by covering the casserole with plastic wrap then with alum foil otherwise the acid from the tomato sauce creates holes in the foil and refrigerate.

Remove from refrigerater at least 30 minutes before placing in a preheated 350 degree oven.  Remember to remove the plastic wrap and alum foil coverings!  When baked, let rest for

15 minutes lightly covered (to prevent the cheese topping from drying out) before cutting.

  7. You could even do up 2 lasganas and freeze one for another busy time. Take it out of the freezer a couple of days in advance and let it thaw in the fridge. Or take it directly out of the freezer, stick in a 275 degree oven for an hour or 2 and then turn up the heat to get it nice and hot and bubbly.
