I only want people on my friends list to be able to view comments or page content, i looked through the settings but didn't notice a feature to make the 360 page this way.

  1. You can set it up so people can only see your nickname, your profile pics (with some miscellaneous link functions under that), friends module, your Top Page comments (unless you delete all of them), and your background. If that's not private enough, then you should move to another service.

This is what makes Yahoo! 360 unique - the ability to set permissions for just about everything.

    1) Click your "Settings" link at the top of your 360 space. The first page is Basic Info.

Go to Yahoo! Identity Display under your "Settings" link and select the first circle.

For all sections, change your permissions to "Friends" by clicking on the dropdown list to the right.

Do not check that you want to be in the directory.

Click the "Save and Continue" button at the bottom.

Then, go to your "Communication Settings" (upper left of page) and make sure that your settings are set to "Friends."

NOTE: Doing that permission makes it difficult for people outside your invited Friends to communicate with you. If you are inviting people from all over 360, then it's best to set the settings to "Everyone in 360". You can always change it later.

Do the same permission setting- Friends - for your "Blog Settings" (also on the upper left of "Settings" page).

    2) Go to any other content module on your "My Page" and click the "Settings/Edit" link on the upper right of that module to choose privacy options the same way that you did in the other areas. Don't forget to do so for your comments and blast. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-1qCkw2Eha... for a visual on the comments part.

NOTE: The quick comments are either enabled for everyone or no one on some pages.

Doing #1 & #2 should make you private - as in only people you invite or accept invites from will see the 360. They will show up in Friends module on your top page and become listed on your "My Friends" page.

Make sure to check how other people view your page by clicking on the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page.

  2. Look at the toolbar at the top of any of your 360 pages.

    Choose MY PAGE

This is your editing page and no one sees it but you. Each of the modules there has the option to EDIT  on top of it .. Click onto it and it will take you to the edit page for that particular module and its content.. there are the options there to choose to set the content of the module to the setting  that you choose..

click onto it and from the drop down menu choose your preference... go to the bottom of the page and save it..

Do this on each module and it will shut your 360 down to only those whom you have chosen as a friend.. or friend of friends.. public.. or private just you viewing.

When you finish that go back to the toolbar once again and choose SETTINGS.. this is the page where you set your communications privacy settings.. do the same thing as I described above.

be sure to save the changes at the bottom of each page and you have done it.
