Can I make my facebook "unviewable"..?

Question

I just received a friend request from my uncle who found me mysteriously on Facebook. I don't want to add him because I write some stuff on Facebook that I just don't feel comfortable with him seeing. He already friend requested me, how do I make it seem like I deleted my facebook? I don't want him to keep checking back to see if I added him, I don't want to offend him by openly refusing his add. Is it possible to stop him from finding me again?

You can change your privacy settings here: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/ (try the search settings).

On that same page you could elect to block him. It will seem like (to him) that you deleted your account. However if he creates another account and tries searching for you he will find you. So I would suggest settings your privacy settings to "friends only" in "search settings".
