  1. fire hazard.  get soundproofing materials.


  2. newspapers and cardboard aren't the best way, and it will never be sound proof.  drywall and/or carpet and/or insulation would be better.

  3. Lots of fledgling bands put old carpet from the garbage can on their walls.
