I am taking Yaz and a pack contains 24 active pills and 4 inactive pills. I want my period to come a week after its due so can I take the 24 active pills and the first 4 active pills of the next pack to manipulate my period? I am hoping to conceive a baby next moth so that he/she will be due in June and the only way this will happen, is if my period comes a week late. Also, if you had to pick, would you rather have a baby in the beginning of June or the end of June and why? Thank You!

  1. If you get pregnant next month you are very lucky. It usually takes a few cycles OFF B/C before your cycles are normal again and are able to conceive your baby. You can take the pills from the next pack and you will delay your period, it shouldn't be an issue.

Probably giving birth in the beginning of June sounds better, that way your not pregnant when its REALLY hot.

  2. you can, but it's dangerous because bcpills cause hormore imbalances and werid things happen..so its better not to, to have a HEALTHY baby

  3. if your trying to have a  baby why are you on bc

  4. I think it would be best if you talked to your gyno, especially if you're trying to get pregnant.  Don't forget -- your baby may come early, you may not be fertile when you would like to be (you may not ovulate at all the month after you get off of your birth control).  Your doctor may help you decide the best option if you really want a June baby.

  5. you can completely skip your period by skipping the "period pills" and just starting a whole new pack

  6. Yes, you can skip it if you want.  However, why are you still taking pills if you're trying to get pregnant?  Sometimes it can take awhile for you to be able to get pregnant after stopping certain forms of birth control.

I wouldn't care when my baby was born, I would just want a healthy baby.  Even if you time it out it might come early or late anyway.  Also, I know a lot of people who hate  summer birthdays because they always missed the whole bringing cupcakes to school thing and a lot of times their friends are gone when in college.  So if i absolutely had to pick, the beginning of June.

  7. I hear AD pills are much better

  8. Um, usually you need to be off the pill for a few months to get preggo, I take the same, and no it dosen't work that way, why would you pick when your baby is born, it's more exciting if 's out of passion and not depicting every thing in the kids life

  9. After you get your period just wait an additional week before you start taking the pills again. Be sure you use a backup method as your pills might not be as effective that month.

Chances are very likely that you will not be able to get pregnant on a whim like that. It takes most people at least 6 months of steadily trying before the can get pregnant. Your body decides when to get pregnant, not you.

As for early June or late June births, it makes no difference to me.
