Can I mix chrome and brushed nickle in my kitchen?

I am re-doing my kitchen and rather like the polished chrome look as opposed to brushed nickle, I have been able to find all fixures, k***s drawer pulls in shiny chrome but cannot seem to find a schoolhouse type light fixture in shiny chrome, they all seem to be brushed nickle, will it look stupid, will anyone notice but me? My stove is stainless so not shiny and my fridge is shiny white

You're fine with the brushed nickel lighting fixture since the color of the metal is the same, particularly since your stove is stainless.  Brushed nickel is more conducive to a schoolhouse lighting fixture and I doubt that you'd be able to find one to match the other fixtures.
