Can I mix some borax with my carpet fresh to boost it's freshening ability?

I'm trying to cut out most chemicals in my environment, but I LOOOOVE my carpet fresh. I've been mixing it half and half with baking soda, but I thought borax might give it a better boost.

Any input would be helpful. Thanks♥☺♥

why not? it will absorb odors, too

Sure, but I use baking soda.  And instead of carpet fresh, try Baby Powder.  And to add freshness, take an old pair of stockings or a cheap pair from any store, cut into small pieces and fill with Baby Powder, place this in your air conditioner and watch how flesh and clean your house smells each time you go out and come back in.
