  1. Yes you can, you need a dvd recorder. You will also need a scart cable that connects from the dvd recorder to the video recorder. You will will have to watch the video and record on to DVD at the same time. When you do record you should use the Sycro Record option so that the DVD will start recording when the video starts playing.


  2. Well you conncet the VCR to the DVD recorder (it must be a DVD recorder not player) with a scart lead and play the VCR while setting the DVD to record.

    You may not be able to copy commercial tapes that might be encoded and you would need a macrovision box to do that.
