Can I move out of state and still collect unemployment insurance?

I live in California, and there is no work here due to the current econimic climate. I want to move back to the midwest with Family and Friends, but I will still need my unemployment bebefits until I can find a job there.

  1. If you think the economic climate is bad in CA, just wait until you see how bad it is in the midwest!!

    Unemployment benefits don't transfer.  You'll have to reapply in your new state.  Will they give you benefits?  It depends on which state you go to.
