  1. You can, but you'll need some good eyes, and steady hands.  The most success I've had is a simple, 200 power scope, set on a tripod - makes viewing much easier.  


  2. Yes-- but right now it is VERY low in the West after sunset-- wait about 6 weeks and it will be up at night.

  3. venus is non-stellar in 10x50s, but only the long thin crescent phase is going to show up well.
