I would like to obtain my records going right back to when I was very small. I am now 41 and live in England.

Is this possible and how do I go about obtaining them.

Thankyou.

  1. Yes, you need to write to your GP's Practice, informing them you would like to see your records - they need notice that you want to inspect them.

You may be charged an administration fee for this.

  2. Your current GP should have them so go and ask to either look at them or have a copy. I made an appointment and went to the surgery and looked at mine. I believe you can also request a copy but must do that in writing.

Ask the receptionist who should let you know the correct procedure.

  3. You will be allowed to see the records that they have you just have to ask and be patient, although it may be difficult to get records dating back that far, so you may not get all the information that you want for this reason, a doctor can also refuse to show you some information if he or she feels it would be detrimental for you to know that information (a stupid clause written into the freedom of information act).

  4. Go to your GP and ask. You are entitled to see them

  5. yea. go to your practicionor (not sure about spelling) and ask to see them
