Can I obtain my passport from Spanish consulate during visa process? I need to travel outside the country.?

I am applying for a student visa for Spain and the process takes two months. During that time I wanted to go to london, and then go to spain when my visa is ready. How can I get my passport so I can get into the country_

More than likely not, the two month time is the wait.  They are not going to put your application in line without all the paperwork and your passport.

Hassles lead to people getting denied visas.

I can't see why not, why not bring up the question when you go to the consulate office when you make the appointment and find out then.
