Is there an online bank I can use there? What are some good banking websites that have the highest CD and Money Market yields?

  1. the banks in Philippines do not have anything near what you may be used to with interest rates . A savings account may pay up to 1/4 % annually . Maybe more if you deposit 3-5 million peso . You may need an ACR card , but everything in Phil is flexible . If one bank will not accomadate you go to another branch , it may do so .

Metro has online banking , although very limited , you can pay Globe and Smart there . You cannot pay other bills through them

  2. Try  PNB(Philippine national bank) www.pnb.com.ph I am actually planning to open a PNB savings acct here in California. I called and they said I can and I can even withdraw here in the US to one of their main branches but with fees. They also offer online services. I dont have an address in the Philippines and they said its ok because PNB is international. Try to see if they have a branch around your area, if they do then there should be no problem to open one and also you can deposit money online, remittance centers(w fees), main branches (free deposit). You can open up a dollar acct or a peso acct. The only difference is you cant use your ATM card in US only in the Philippines but you can withdraw direct from the branch w fees.

If theres no PNB try metrobank.. If you want you can open citibank cause you can access it in US and in the Philippines. They have branches of citibanks in manila, cebu, quezon city..

    Goodluck!

    Goodluck...

  3. you cannot open a bank account without appearing personally and without a legitimate home or business address in the particular area where the bank is situated. also, you must have an existing and active account with that particular bank before you can access it's online services.

  4. No and you need a residency visa if your a foreigner.

  5. ask someone to give you an address that you could use for opening an account. a friend or whoever you know back there.

as long as you present the valid identification cards needed by them, with photos and signature, they might give you.

  6. Again!  Open an account in your home .  Get a bank card and use the ATM.

Address are easy to get.  As are bank accounts .

The pay nothing to speak of and may collapse at any minuet.
