Question:

Can I or should I upgrade from 2 12" kicker cvr to 2 12" kicker cvx and keep the same zx1000 amp?

Would it sound the same or would it sound a little better? or should I just keep the cvr's? Im not trying to change amps right now. Thanx

  1. You could very well do that. If you wanted to.

    I'd imagine that you would see a slight improvement in the quality and quantity of sound. But, nothing substantial.

    If you are doing this as part of a "rolling" upgrade. I think you have chosen a good first step.


  2. Don't do that. 2 12" CVR is only 800 rms and 2 12" CVX is 1500 rms. It would be a waist of money going to the CVX w/o an upgraded amplifier. It would sound only a fraction better. It would allow for a lot of improvment for the future.
