    really?

  3. Hello there,

Perhaps you could try adding a little green fabric paint- diluted with water of course- and soak the plant in the mixture for 2-3 days. Hope this helps! :)

  4. its gonna shed anyways so just paint it

  5. are you serious??? painting a bush.....hmmmm id just wait till next yeat

  6. umm haha.

you should just paint it pink!!

  7. If you paint the leaves, the plant will die. And here is the reason why.

Plants Leaves contain tiny pores in which they use to bring in Co2, and release oxygen back into the air. Also, when a plant has a disease or something of the same nature, they use their leaves to push the attacker out of the plant. If the pores are closed up, the plant will not be able to breathe.

You might be better off getting some Shrub feed, or plant food. Mixing it in some water and watering the plant. The plant is most likely in shock. So you need to just bare with it for a while. New growth will start to grow back, depending on the area you live in. further north than South Carolina, then you will have to wait till next year for new growth. But keep the plant watered and fed! This will help boost the plants growth during the spring. If you live South of SC, Then you should be able to water and feed it, and see new growth within a couple weeks!

    Hope this helps

  8. If you are going to paint it you might as well save yourself the trouble and just rip it out by the roots.

Maybe we might consider just watering it... duh.

  9. Only paint dead plants. You will smother the few living leaves that you have and REALLY 'do your plant in'.

A better suggestion is to cut it back and use light fertilizer (like dilute Sterns miracle grow) and it might make a bit of new growth this fall.

I have painted dead plants that hold their leaves. They look interesting and last for a few months. You can go wild and paint them colors like pink, aqua, etc...

  10. If you paint it you WILL kill it. Just water it and let it be. It needs to get over the shock. Hopefully it will come back next year.

  11. Use something eco-friendly.  It would be irresponsible to paint it with something and then have it rain and then the paint leaks into the earth...not to preach--just sayin'....

  12. I would cover it ( if outside)  later in the fall with thin plastic and NOT paint it . Any chemicals would harm it.
