Question:

Can I paint flowers on my cello?

I wanted to get some advice before I do this. will it do any thing to the cello or afect the sound? I need to know before I ruen my cello.

  1. It shouldn't affect the sound but any respectable conductor won't want your flowery cello in his orchestra during a live concert so you may want to think about that.


  2. I agree with Zotdirect...  any conductor is going to give you some grief over painting flowers on your cello. I have a better answer. Use static window clings like the ones you use for decorating windows. The window clings will be removable and you can change or reposition them  any time you wish.They can follow a slight curve if they aren't too big. Come in a wide variety of styles shapes colors and sizes( floral or not.) Also they are  fairly inexpensive You can change them depending on your mood and inclination. Best of both worlds and doesn't damage your instrument.

  3. It will not affected your cello ( besides if you paint the strings)

    but most people wouldn't want a flowery cello
