  1. I Agree with goosy, don't waste ANY time if you are not going to do it right.


  2. If you are painting, then yes you can paint over it with a roller.  Use a roller for the bulk of it, but a paint brush for the edges and tough spots.  If you are putting stain down, it is a little more complicated as you have to remove the old stain and sand first.

  3. if you paint over the old paint, you are risking the fact that the old paint will start peeling, in turn peeling your new paint off as well. It is best to power wash it. This way you will do more work now, but the effects will last alot longer. Doing it the fast way now, will cause you to repaint in the near future. It's your call.

  4. Use olympic Maximum  acrylic stain its just like paint. get one of those hose end deck cleaner mixes. rinses off with a hose . may need to scrub with brush on a stick for stuborn areas. only idiots strip decks

  5. Not unless you want to redo it again next year.
