I have furniture that has been painted and polyurethaned. Do I need to strip, sand or can I just paint over it?

  1. If the existing paint is not peeling it would be fine to sand it good, making the finish as smooth as possible then your new paint will stick well. Unless you strip it, do not use lacquer, it will melt the polyurethane and make a big nasty mess.

  2. strip it and if the surface is uneasy sand it then paint over it...im not 100% sure but im pretty confident thats what you should do

  3. only with original german made bosch paint
