  1. ABSOLUTLEY NOT! also, dont go out and buy them without your teachers permission. You have to have strong enough bones and muscles. even if you do have shoes if your not ready you will hurt yourself.

  2. how would u do that? its not garunteed that ul break it but its just stupid.

  3. yes. its called pointe en flat. very very hard

  4. you can't do pointe with out pointe shoes you could break your toes and won't be able to preform at all! plus you can't balance to!

  5. Don't dance without shoes on.  While it may be possible to stand on your toes without shoes... it's a bad idea.  Especially if you are doing quick movements to your toes.  You will be able to do a lot more with shoes on... and not break your toes, feet or ankles.

  6. Nope.

  7. no it is bad for your toes because they arent supported and they will pop out of the sockets and curl under. Also your ankles will have to take in alot of extra stress that you shouldnt put on them

  8. im a little confused...pointe without the shoes is ballet. but if you mean dancing on your toes without the shoes than NO.. pointe shoes have a box shank and platform that allow the dancer to stand on her toes. Without the support of pointe shoes you can do serious damage to your bones..muscles..tendons and all the other stuff in your feet and ankles. If you do pointe without shoes you would be putting all your weight on your toes and ankles without anything to  support them. Dont do pointe without the shoes its very dangerous and you can do more damage than breaking an ankle.

  9. the first ballerinas did not have shoes but it is very silly not to get them. you will break toes and ankles and then you will never get up on pointe again in the correct shoes or otherwise!

  10. Don't do it, you need a shank and box to support the foot. Just as a side note, rhythmic gymnasts dance knuckled over- its impossible to sustain pointe position without shoes. Maria Taglione was the first dancer to go en pointe, and she wasn't being "silly" the shoes didn't exist- that form of dance didn't exist at that time.

  11. i don't think it is possible to do pointe without pointe shoes because otherwise it would be regular ballet. The shoes are what make the dance so beautiful and seemingly effortless. You really must wear the shoes!

  12. it is very very very unwise to go en pointe with out the proper shoe. you may not break  your ankle but the risk of an high ankle sprain is much much higher. tearing tendons is a risk as well. my advice, wear your shoes.

  13. Hii :)

Right, In Ballet you HAVE to wear pointe shoes when going on pointe ... if you don't have to all the top ballerinas on tv who you see wouldnt be wearing them.

    HOWEVER.

If you are a gymnast or rhythmic gymnast you can be trained for monthes for how to go onto your toes without pointe shoes but you have to have a coach to do this. You will just break your toes if you dont.
