Question:

Can I pick up a package directly from the post office?

I ordered an item for a trip I'm taking tomorrow. It was supposed to arrive today but it didn't come. Assuming the item reached my post office today, or early tomorrow, is it possible for me to go directly there and pick it up? Or do I have to wait until the mail comes, by which time it will be too late?

  1. Call the post office in the morning and ask to speak to your Letter Carrier.  He/she will be glad to leave your parcel for you at the post office rather than dragging it out.

  2. Only if they tried to deliver it to your house.  Then it would go back to the Post office for you to pick up.

  3. First I would try and get the tracking number from whoever sent the package. Then I would try calling the post office :)
