Can I picket on the highway in Irving, TX?

Hi. A Hyundai dealership in Irving, TX is s******g over my mother. Her steering wheel is deteriorating on a car only four years old. The dealership says it's not covered on her warranty as the steering wheel is only trim. Trim being just decoration not necessary to the cars function. LOL The steering wheel is just decoration!!!!

Can I picket them? They are on a frontage road next to a highway. There is no sidewalk in front and next to them is more dealerships. I was planning to stand on the grass between the frontage road and the highway and hold up my signs there. Is this legal? Do I need a permit? Can they have me arrested? Any info would be great. Thanks. :)

  1. Lol, picket ot what effect? They are not liable

  2. Be sure you do it in the fast lane for maximum effect.

Hint:  Save you breath to cool your soup.

  3. It's not gonna do a bit of good if you do.

Besides, the dealership didn't make the steering wheel break, and the details of the warranty are determined by the manufacturer, not the dealer.  So your beef is with the manufacturer, not the dealership.

  4. I'm against picketing. I just can't figure out a way to show it.

  5. check with local laws in Irving TX. You may need a permit to protest these circumstances?

I would call the action news hot line, explain to them what happened.

Maybe just slim maybe, there are a bunch of cars with a similar problem, so a class action can be sought for remedy of the defects or recalled?
