Can I place my air conditioner in my window on its side?

  1. No, the refrigerant will never circulate.


  2. NO, the liquid freon will get into the compressor and it will never work again.

  3. NO, there is lubricant in the system that may not circulate correctly if the unit is operated on its side

  4. no  most definatly not if placed on its side all of the freon ,which should be gas going to the compressor,  will because of the position of the AC unit have liquid in it. If the liquid reaches the compressor it will hydraulic the cylinder which would be the same thing as filling one of your car cylinders with water and trying to run it.  it will either stop the motor (bad) or blow a seal or the top off the compressor (worse) so I would not recommed it.
