I just cleared some land under some pine trees. And I'd like to start planting. I wonder if I can start now this summer... or should I wait til fall?

  1. I suggest you wait until September at least before planting bulbs.

In the summer they could get bug infestations and that could ruin them.

In the cooler weather there is less chance of that.

The hot weather could also increase the chance of them drying out too much.

    Good luck

  2. I would say it depends on where you live. If it's warm year round where you live, then you may be able to. I wouldn't suggest it though. I would wait until fall or spring depending on what type of bulb you're planting for best results.
