Can I play Call of Duty 4 in LAN with one copy?

I have two computers that can play Call of duty 4. I have a wireless connection too. The one question I have is that can I play Call of Duty 4 in LAN with just one copy or I need two seperate copies?

Also what is counter strike?

  3. The easy answer is that each PC will need to have a working copy of the game installed on it.  How you go about getting that to happen is up to you.....

  4. yes you can play call of duty 4 with one copy in a lan . well as darn near any other game if you set the lan correctly and port forward
