I have been training alot and been in many many productions. I am trying out for The Phantom of the Opera. A lot of people say I sound like Emmy Rossum. Could I get the role of Christine?

  1. only if you are the best one for the role as determined by those casting it.

  2. LOL!

I was gonna say that ^^

  3. If you sound like Emmy Rossum, then you'll never get the role on Broadway.

  4. It doesn't matter what "a lot of people" say, it matters what the Director, Musical Director, etc think.

The role of Christine Daae requires a light lyric soprano voice and, at least in the ALW version (which I don't believe the rights are available for...so the version you're auditiong for may be the Maury Yeston one) a range up to an Eb6.

So, go for it, but no one here can tell you if you have any shot of getting the part, esp since no one has heard you sing. It all depends on who shows up.
