Can I play DVD's from different regions on my computer? (look at details)?

for example I have a region 1 DVD player and I think I can't play a region 2 or 4 DVD there so can I play that region 2 or 4 DVD on my computer?

You can make it zonefree. However that might bust your DVD player and will make any guarantee you have void. It can be done with software, but it is a little wee bit too complicated to answer here. A lot of tech specs are involved like finding out the brand and model, writing some codes to it etc. As I said, it can destroy it.

It is however no problem for it to play region 2 etc. Usually you can switch 10 or more times between regions before it gets permanent.
