Can I play PS3 with a keybord and mouse?

Question

I'm a PC gamer, but my computer is not that good and I can only play old games with worce grafix. I want to get a good gaming PC so I can play new high grafix games like bioshock, battlefield 2142 or somthing, but it is far to expensive to buy a 3.6ghz super powerfull gaming PC so i decided to buy a ps3 (much much cheeper). But since I am a pc gamer i like to use a keybord and mouse for games much more then a joystick, is there anyway i can hook a keybord and mouse to a ps3 and play like call of duty 4 using WSAD and mouse insted of a joystick?

I've actually heard that you can use the mouse and keyboard to play COD4 on the PS3, but I haven't confirmed this myself..your best bet would be to look it up on the Ps3 website yourself and research it, cause you won't find any for sure answers in this place.

i don't think you can because the ps3 buttons are pressure sensitive

Well the keyboard and mouse your able to use on the PS3 but not game playing.

well what you should have done is go two new egg and bought all the parts and build it on your own. i play bioshock on my pc cant play at the highest graphics settings because my card doesn't support dx10. but no you cannot play ps3 games with a keyboard an mouse what you can do though is uninstall the sony os and the install a windows os over it then install your normal pc games as would on any other pc( i wouldn't recommend doing this because windows os sucks and the ps3 is rather nice for a console, plus windows operating system doesn;t like the 7 cpu on the ps3 it would go crazy )
