I'm thinking about getting a XBox360, and I was wondering if I could play it through my iMAC screen, since it's better than my TV. Anybody know anything about this?

  1. One thing to remember is that most computer screens, or monitors are simply TVs. There are some differences, but more and more they are becoming one in the same. The real question here is what adapters does your iMAC screen have. From looking at the iMac on the website, it doesn't look as if iMacs have video input. They are treated more like a laptop monitor, not meant to be used separately from the attached system.

However, the output listed by the Xbox 360 are Composite and HD via an HDMI cable. If you do consider buying a TV, or montiro for use with an Xbox 360, make sure it has one of these two inputs.

    Hope this helps.

  2. You can't through your iMac's screen, but if you have a spare VGA monitor laying around you can.

  3. You can check on their website or you can google it.

  4. WAT THE **** IVE NEVER HEARD THAT YOU CAN DO THAT!

  5. call 1-800-4my-xbox and ask them

  6. Not your mac screen, but a VGA monitor yes

  7. Yes, you can. You need the 360 VGA cable. I just got one off ebay for under $20. They go for about $50 new. I'd strongly suggest getting the Microsoft brand as the 3rd party cables got average reviews.

Also, make sure your monitor has a vga input. If it doesn't I'm sure there's some kind of adapter out there.

  8. i know you can...just not how...sorry lol
