Can I play my ps3 on my dads Plasma Tv?

44" of hd gaming has always ben a dream at my house but when my dad bought his plasma screen about two years ago the besy buy guy said gaming would burn it in and it would ruin the tv

this was a little b4 the ps3 came out i think

was the best buy guy right that i'll mess up my dads tv if i play my ps3 on it?

Some of the older PLASMA screens are subject to burn in, not not just CRTs.  The only way to know for sure would be to visit the manufacturer's site and find what they say about that models compatibility with game systems is.  Most of them tell you it is not recommended and could potentially void any remaining warranty.  That is for PLASMA only, most LCD screens have a game option to adjust performance while playing games.
