Can I play the movies that I watch on my computer through my t.v?

like the ones that I play in my drive or the movies that i have downloaded?....I want to watch them on the bigger screen tv if it is possible...I am currently over seas and the xbox that i have does not play my mixed dvds...is there a simple cord that i need to buy from radio shack or something?

Yes all you have to do is use your TV as a monitor by using this cable it is a VGA to S-Video/composite video adapter:

but if your computer has a s-video already then all you will need is a s-video cable:

keep your audio hooked up the same way you have it.
