Can I play trap card Barrel Behind the Door when Chaos Emperor Dragon: Envoy of the Behinning uses his effect?

This is a question about Yugioh trading card game! Please answer this i have gotten into alot of arguements about this. I think i have some cards that can negate it like Barrel Behind the Door. Only answer if you kno. Thanx everyone

here is the judge ruling on this:

No, you can't because the dragon's pay 1000 LP is a cost, you pay it to activate the effect, and the cost is not treated as damage.  

that's the same reason barrel can't work with solomn, I just fund out last week after winning a local tournament.

NO. All the card gone first. You cant chain barrel because dragon destroy first than burn life point. By then barrel is not on the feild.

if you mean paying 1000 life points but making the opponent lose 1000 instead, it won't work. chaos emperor dragon's effect is a cost and barrel only works against card effects that inflict damage

i think you can do it but the effect still resolves.. cuz the opponent already paid the cost so the effect still resolves he will be destroyed and alll the field as well.. for more info you should read the card ruling of both cards!
