Can you pleade nolo contendere if you would like to assert that you are innocent but are willing to accept the full punishment of a guilty verdict even for a small routine ticket?

  1. In a regular NY traffic court, the only question is do you want a trial.  If not, see the clerk and pay the fine.  There is no legal distinction between a conviction entered on a plea of guilty and one entered after a trial and one entered after a nolo plea.  They are each convictions.  Once you plead nolo, your claim of innocence doesn't matter any more and the court has NO power to dismiss or to do anything but impose the sentence.


  2. no! nolo Contendere mean no contest to the charges in which you are being charges with.  

  3. It won't make a difference for your driving record as far as insurance and points goes - you are either guilty or you are innocent as far as they are concerned.

  4. Just say youre guilty. You know you are. No contest is the same plea. No contest=guilty.
