Can I please ask how to get to Louvre from Gare du Nord Station? Thanks.

We're planning on staying in Hotel Montpensier (i read somewhere it's near the louvre museum area), how do we get to this hotel from Gare du Nord station? Thanks :o)

Metro?  Cab?  Two of the most reliable ways.

Take Bus 39 (Direction : Issy-Val de Seine) from the Gare du Nord to the Palais Royal- Comedie Francaise stop. Alternatively, take Metro 7 (Direction : Mairie d'Ivry) to the Palais-Royal (Musee du Louvre) stop.

The bus will drop you marginally closer to your hotel.

You may find it useful to go to google maps and get a look at the area around your hotel. perhaps printing it out to help you navigate. Its rather a busy little area and streets come in from all sorts of odd angles.
