Can I pop popcorn with regular vegetable oil?

I usually use orvilles popcorn popping oil, but ran out, but i have vegetable oil. Will it work?

Yes. You don't need a special oil. That is just an advertising gimmick.

Yes, you couldeven add a lil seasoned salt or spice that yu like in the oil before you po it.. Yumm!! Even a lil butter with the oil.

Sure.  Or even without it.  I just microwave mine without adding anything.  It's healthier.
