  1. only iof the Fire is never to be used:-

the rising heat of the fire will cook the TV and kill it often in 4 months of use.

the rising heat also brings with it dirt particles that get into the TV and kill it.

You can do it but don't expect your TV to live more than 4 months max and ITS NOT covered by warranty.

then only safe distance above a fire is in the room above!!

    DO NOT DO IT!

  2. Well put the fire on and hold you hand where the tv will be, heat rises, and I would be very wary of doing this.

To me this does not sound a very good idea

  3. i wouldn't do it myself, if you look at the back of a tv it has vents and fans all over the back to cool down the heat generated by the backlight on an lcd, of the actual screen on a plasma. Needless to say if you light a fire underneath it it will only suck in heated air, and that isn't a good thing! if you do that other than the risk of the materials used to build the tv warping you will overheat the electronics too. Usually if you overheat a tv it will shut off automatically as a safety measure, but long term you will reduce the life of the set considerably

  4. One of the biggest enemies of plamsa and LCD sets is heat!  I wouldn't do it myself.
