ok so i kinda wrote a short story.. i love to write and i decided to write about the first time i kissed a girl (yes im a girl... i'm bi incase you're wondering) :P and i would like to post it somewhere online... it's only about 2 pages so nothing really long... but i'd like to see what people think about it... get some commentary because i'm thinking of extending it into a novel... but i'd like to see if people like my writing style, the material, etc. so if anyone knows of any sites that would be really helpful :) thanks!

ps. i've written some fanfiction as well and have found a site to have that published so i'm looking for something similar :P hope that helps...

  1. go to fictionpress.com! it's a sister

site of fanfiction, and it's great :)

post a link, so that I'll be able to

    read it, too!

    I hope this helps.

  2. If you are into self-publication, paying people to print your stuff and selling it by yourself, sure, you can post a 'random story' any time.

Suggest http://www.writerscafe.org as a 'clean, well-lighted' site where reviews are given, especially once you review someone else's work (when that happens, the other writer is invited to review yours), and where there is always something good to read. Nice folks there.

ADD: Companies who want to make money by charging writers to 'publish' their work lurk around writerscafe.org too, just as they do around any writing site.

*However, if you want to be paid for your work and have people sell it for you, all the good parts so hard won, suggest you post things at the cafe that you don't want to publish properly, and save your best to use AFTER you read the first section of The Writer's Market thoroughly, several times, to know the correct steps to follow to publish without these vanity press people.

You can look at some of this book online now, and all of it for $3.99 a month at http://www.writersmarket.com

    Good luck.

  3. You can't publish fanfiction, first of all. fanfiction is making up stories about someone else's characters and in their world. Some Harry Potter fanfiction website tried to publish a book of it, and J.K.R. sued them for big bucks and didn't let them publish it.

Try google-ing it. Google is the answer to everything. However, if your short story has as poor grammar as your question, it might not be very popular.
