Can I press charges against the bank?

This is my statement from my bank account. Don't mind the last transaction, I'm letting the BBB look at it before I make any other deposits but anyway... This is my account figures copied from my online statement. They're charging me an insufficient funds fee when there is money obviously there to cover it. When I called and spoke to a representative they said that there wasn't any sufficient funds at all... So obviously my statement is wrong. Like I said before, I contacted the Better Business Bureau, but can I call a lawyer for falsification of documents so seeing my statement shows one thing but they're telling me another? Ok, heres the statement...

  1. yes you can

  2. OH! by the name Weis Markets! that's telling me you are on the east coast in Pennsylvania!! Right!!! WHICH BANK!??? HELP! just in case it's mine!!! Never ever do business over the phone honey. Always go INTO the bank in person! You take with you all your receipts and bank book, and demand a print out of ALL transactions since this thing started!!! And don't leave without ALL the answers! Someone may have used your account - identity theft.  They could have got your bank number from various places. Also, when you find out what the H--l is going on, make them EAT all those charges for the insufficient funds they socked you with!!!  I just noticed something, that ATM FEE - 50 cents?? Sounds like M & T to me! I dropped them like a hot potatoe the first time they charged me for using my debit card!!! GET ANOTHER BANK FOR GOODNESS SAKE! Good luck!

  3. Are you trying to get the bank thrown in jail?

  4. yes you can, some banks are even privately owned.

there is a organization where you can report a bank

  5. Did u go to the bank and talk to a personal banker at the branch you go to all of the time.. banks are a huge ripp off for the most part.. best of luck..

  6. Most banks if you talk to the manager or head of the bank will refund the fees in situations like this I would talk to the head of the bank and print out your statements to show them you really did not know the funds were not there and how to prevent it in the future if your positive and cut them some slack they will usually do the same for you if that does not work sue the h**l out of them then if it comes up it will make you look like the good guy in court because you tried to resolve the situation with them first try to write down everything that happens if they tell you they wont refund the money in ink with names and dates that will hold up in court.

  7. To answer the actual question you posed, no.  Only the DA can decide to use tax money to pursue a criminal conviction against anyone.  If you feel that the bank has done something wrong you can sue at your expense, you can negotiate, you can move your account or do whatever you want, but you cannot "press charges" against anyone.

  8. Go in to your local branch, do not call.

    See manager.

    Clear it up.

    Close account.

    Go to new bank.

  9. Looks like you bank at the Huntington bank! My son had a account there and they were charging him for everything and I made him close the account and start a new one at another bank!
